Mary Poppins Opening Night
It was a star-studded night, both on and off the stage, as Mary Poppins flew into Melbourne last night.
The splendid cast, including astounding newcomer Verity Hunt-Ballard as Mary, captivated the opening night crowd at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Amongst the audience were Sam Neil, Jason Coleman, Vince Colosimo, Rhonda Burchmore and Natalie Bassingthwaite.
The family-friendly show is filled with heart-warming sing-a-longs, impressive staging and glorious choreography. Stand-out performances came from musical theatre veterans Debra Byrne and Marina Prior.
The talented cast earnt a standing ovation then celebrated at a lavish, Poppins-themed after-party at the Sofitel.
