Liliums – from information in Gardening Australia Magazine July 2010

Oriental Liliums – grown specifically for pot with shorter stems, 4 -5 flowers on each stem, very strong perfume.
La Hybrid Liliums – cross between Asiatic and L. longiflorium, upright large flowers
Asiatic Liliums – vibrant colours, a firm favourite in mixed beds or in pots

Kniphofia – red hot pokers, evergreen clumping perennial. Dwarf yellow, poker, frost tolerant.
Tree peonies (Paeonia suffruticosa) with huge flowers, love lime added to the soil in autumn and generous fertilizer in spring to flower well over summer and autumn
