Gardening Tips
Broadbeans, not flowering but growing well
Just be patient as they will flower in approximately 3 – 4 weeks. Just watch out for little black aphids that collect on the tips of shoots, squash or spray them.
Transplanting roses
You can transplant roses now, but do it as soon as possible as their roots will be taking off soon.
Eleocarpus reticulatus
A good evergreen native plant, with a slender columnar habit, reaching 4 – 5 metres with pink lacy flowers and blue berries, an attractive tree.
Laburnum pendula (Scottish laburnum)
Does any nursery know of its availability please? This is the fragrant species not Laburnum vossii
