The work to help curb violence against women has to only increase in the wake of several recent shocking incidents, according to Victims of Crime Commissioner Fiona McCormack.

25 women have died as result of gender-based violence so far in 2024, with Ms McCormack saying only in the last decade has the issue been properly discussed in the mainstream.
