Bill Shorten gets pie on his face
A Lygon Street milk bar owner has alleged Workplace Relations and Employment Minister Bill Shorten verbally abused, all because her the meat pie he wanted was not in stock.
Annie Wong told Neil Mitchell that upon entering her shop, Mr Shorten withdrew cash from an on-premise ATM before approaching the counter and requesting a Boscastle pie.
"Yesterday afternoon at about 5 o'clock, Bill Shorten came into my shop, asked for a Bostcastle pie, then I said: ‘Sold out, sorry,’” Annie Wong told Neil Mitchell.
Annie Wong said she offered to put a cold pie in the microwave for him, but warned if would be softer.
Unhappy his pie of choice was unavailable, Ms Wong alleged Mr Shorten yelled an obscenity at her, before walking to the door and saying she had lost his business.
“He didn’t say anything turns around, opens the door and goes out, then turns around again and says 'You’ve lost business,'” she said.
“I’m very angry, not happy to be treated like that."
The altercation appears to have arisen over the Ms Wong's suggestion that a microwaved pie would be soft, which Mr Shorten claims he mistook for 'free political advice'.
Mr Shorten said upon asking what the pie would be like after being microwaved, he believed she responded by saying: "It will be soft, like Julia Gillard."

"I absolutely did not swear at that lady," he said.
"I'm sure now listening to her - I couldn't quite follow the interview...I do accept that when she said the pie will be soft like Julia Gillard, that maybe she wasn't insulting my boss."
However, Mr Shorten said he could not recall what he said upon exiting the milk bar.
"I guess it's an occupational hazard that where ever you are in the street, people give you political advice," he said.

Bill Shorten should join the â??inventorsâ??
He inverted that, the woman in the pie shop (Ms Wong) said: the pie will be soft â??like Julia Gillardâ?? and last night on Q&A, he invented a very different meaning (to any dictionary) for the word misogyny.
His egotism is dangerous, and typical of Labor Party Politics.

@Melissa's posting here - you are spot on! You hit the nail on the head indeed. Shorten, like the large majority of labor party boofheads are ex union hacks! Most have never managed a business or a real job in the real world. Most are uneducated. It is sad that we now pay very high salaries to politicians on the presumption that it will attract the brightest. Instead, it has attracted the boofheaded, self aggrandising, power hungry parasite. So for us rorted citizens it is back to the drawing board!
