Bob Hart's hot weather drinks
The star of our show is lime moscato, a glorious tipple. Make by chilling, in a tall jug, the juice of 6-8 limes, and add two very cold bottles of moscato. I used the delicious Brown Brothers version - great drinking at under $20.
I also make jugs of lemonade as follows: warm 250ml water. Add 250g white sugar and zest of 3 large lemons. Stir until sugar dissolves and boil for 30 secs. Cool to room temperature, add 250ml lemon juice, seeds removed, and briefly return to boil. Add handful of fresh mint leaves and allow to cool. Strain and bottle. Dilute with iced water, to taste, and serve with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
