As a GP contraception and family planning isssues forms a large part of what I do. A recent survey showed that 50% of Australian women said they had had an unplanned pregnancy and 60% of those women stated they were using some form of contraception at the time. We know conraception works if used properly so what's happening. This week's program looks at contraception - whats available, how it works and why it sometimes doesnt.
