King of Comedy Jerry Lewis left the stage fuming at the VRC Chairman's dinner at Flemington racecourse after a series of audio-visual disasters during his performance. At least twice the show was disrupted by technical failures. The 83-year-old is understood to have hit the roof.
 
Also at the dinner, the King of Tonga was thrilled to meet country star Kenny Rogers who led the crowd in several sing-a-longs. But the top meet and greet of the night was when Kenny met "Kenny". Actor Shane Jacobson aka Kenny chatted with the friendly star after the gig.

"Dunno", said Shane Warne who's still considering whether to accept an invitation to see Shane Warne the musical. The passionate poker player has not yet endorsed the show which opens in December in Melbournre.

Feisty singer Pink has agreed to belt out a tune for Channel Ten’s Australian Idol next Monday while popular violinist Andre Rieu will appear on Channel Seven’s Dancing with the stars for the finale on November 9. Word is that he will perform two songs that night.

Country music legend Kenny Rogers needed a little assistance to get around during his Melbourne tour. He had a personal driver  and a golf buggy  to help him see the Melbourne Zoo ahead of taking to the stage this week at the Palais Theatre.

Channel Ten’s George Donikian had colleagues curious when he turned up at work with a major bruise on his arm recently. It’s understood Donikian battled with a dead-locked door at his own home.

Carson Kressley promises to be a ruthless Fashions on the Field judge when in town for the races next week. The outspoken style guru is hosting a Melbourne Cup breakfast at the Crown live site from 8am. The public is invited.

Megan Gale will be rubbing shoulders with an elderly man on November 8. She's welcoming Santa, along with thousands of screaming children, to Bourke Street Mall.

Internationally renowned  circus troupe Cirque de Soleil is so confident that it will only have one preview night when it arrives at the Docklands next April. The show is called Dralion.
