Dr Sally Cockburn: Profile
Dr Sally Cockburn, known in the media also as Dr Feelgood, is Australia's leading health communicator. She is a GP with over 25 years experience as a medical practitioner and over 18 years as a media presenter on TV, radio and in print.
She began her media career talking health here at 3AW on Lawyers Guns and Money and also appeared on Good Morning Australia for nearly 10 years. She still appears regularly on television and writes for the teen publication, Girlfriend Magazine
For 6 years in the 1990s Sally hosted the top-rating national talkback radio program Pillowtalk for the Austereo network. The sex and relationship show gathered a loyal following all over Australia due to Sally's down to earth, practical advice on matters of the heart and body.
Sally is passionate about commuinity issues and is involved in many boards and charities. She's been hosting health specials of 3AW for some years now and in 2007 year she began hosting her own program called Talking Health each Sunday Night from 6 - 8 pm.
Sally's aim to debunk jargon, demystify medical matters and help people understand their body, has firmly planted her among Australia's most loved radio personalities. She's not afraid to tackle the delicate issues and approaches these with sensitivity and humour.
