Elderly former VFL umpire provides one of Sportsday’s best calls of the year!

A 93-year-old former VFL umpire has provided Sportsday with one of its most memorable calls of the year!

Alan Arvidson gave Gerard Healy, Dwayne Russell and Matthew Richardson a call on Wednesday night to share his thoughts on the game.

It turned into a full-blown interview!

“I had Lou Richards, I had (Ron) Barassi, I had (Ted) Whitten – all those boys – they never gave me any trouble!” he said.
