Jane Edmanson: Profile

Jane started working as a teacher, then in a retail nursery at Chadstone Shopping Centre, not knowing the difference between a rose or a thistle. She worked with plants and disabled children for many years before the television and radio opportunities came along.

What was your first job?

I worked in a toy shop on weekends, then sat on the side of Springvale Road counting cars in the days when cars were few and far between.

What is your favourite on air moment thus far?

Lots of funny moments, especially 'off air' with Ernie and Darren.

What is your most embarrassing on air moment?

On a cold day I said it was "a bit nipply" instead of "nippy". Hmm!

If you could interview anyone (living or dead) who would it be?

Captain Cook would be good - the world's best navigator.
