Jane Holmes: Profile
Jane started fresh from school in a virtual "radio apprenticeship" at 3AW, creating the foundations of for a successful media career that has encompassed radio, television and corporate work.
Radio: Major presenting roles at 3XY, FOX FM, TTFM, GOLD FM, 3AK and most recently, 3MP.
Television: Appearances include reporter/presenter on 7 Network's "Talk to the Animals".
Jane is currently combining radio with extensive corporate voice-over work, (including Telstra's automated phone announcements).
What was your first job?
Office junior and trainee researcher/producer/newsreader at 3AW. It's great to be "back home"!
What is your favourite on air moment thus far?
My involvement with 3AW's Ash Wednesday coverage in 1983: an unforgettable experience, demostrataing the true power of radio. 3AW was a lifeline, broadcasting emergency information 24 hours a day and 3AW's Ash Wednesday Appeal saw listeners donating more than a million dollars to help victims of the tragedy.
