John Burns: Profile
John started his career in law practicing as a barrister for 22 years. In the 1980s most of his cases were resolved by lunchtime - so after work he would gather up any willing participants and go to lunch. It was the heady 80s - before the introduction of fringe benefit tax.

His radio career began on 3RRR where as Sir Lunchalot he appeared on "Lawyers Guns and Money" with one Mr Ross Stevenson. 3AW snapped them up and John continued to reviewing restaurants on the show, while also working as a Victorian Crown Prosecutor. In 2001 John joined Ross as co-host of 3AW's top rating breakfast program. He still lunches every day.
