FULL TIME

Geelong has won by fourteen points.

It wasn’t always pretty, but it was a compelling match.

Harry Taylor booted four goals in a decisive performance in Tom Hawkins’ absence.

Matthew Lloyd said Richmond’s forward line is a concern heading into the finals.

“They lack a second option,” Lloydy said.

“Nankervis and Soldo are not the option going into a finals series.”

HALF TIME

Geelong leads by four goals at the main break.

Harry Taylor is having a big impact on Alex Rance, booting three majors in the first half.

Cat Jordan Murdoch (knee) and Tiger Josh Caddy (hamstring) are injury concerns.

If this is a finals preview, Matthew Lloyd doesn’t like what he’s seen from Richmond.

“This is being played like a final and they’ve handballed far too much,” Lloydy said.

THE BUILD-UP

It’s the match that’s been on everyone’s lips for months.

Two huge clubs with strong Top 4 claims do battle at the 34,000-seat Simonds Stadium.

But while the Cats have home-ground advantage, they will be without three vital players: skipper Joel Selwood (ankle), and Tom Hawkins and Mitch Duncan (suspension).

Can the Tigers exploit the outs? Or will the Cats rally silence the doubters?
