Mark Priestley dead
All Saints actor Mark Priestley has taken his own life, shattering his family and also friends at Channel 7. The 32-year-old actor played male nurse Dan Goldman, whose character recently married nurse Erica Templeton (Jolene Anderson) in the popular series.
A Seven Network statement described Priestley as 'a tremendous young person - loved and respected by his fellow All Saints cast members and crew."
Seven's Director of Programming and Production Tim Worner described him as a 'brilliant artist'.
"His work on stage and screen was admired by everybody who knew him," Worner said.
"His death is such a sad loss. We at Channel Seven will miss his energy and smile.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family and friends."
Priestly also had roles The Secret Life Of Us and critically-acclaimed TV mini sreies, Changi.
3AW's Neil Mitchell sought the opinion of Psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, who reiterated that people suffering depression have many options for treatments that work.
The pair urged those suffering from mental illness to visit www.beyondblue.org.au or contact Lifeline on 131 114.
TV critic Nicole Brady said on 3AW it is very unlikely that Channel 7 would pull the episodes still to air with Priestley in them.
