A tribute to Kim Kardashian has sent an inner-Melbourne suburb into a spin.

A massive mural of the reality TV star recently sprung up on a Gwynne Street wall at Cremorne.

And not everybody is a fan.

3AW was sent a photo of the painting from a local worker who was upset with it.

She said nobody had been consulted about the mural being painted.

Kardashian sparked controversy earlier this month when she posted a photo of herself naked on Twitter.

It led to fierce debate as to whether it was empowering or degrading for women.
