New research has confirmed what we've long believed, it's better to eat a home cooked meal, than takeaway.
The study has found those who eat between 5 and 7 evening meals prepared at home during the week, have a 15 per cent lower risk of type 2 diabetes.
Nutritionist Tracie Connor says many are deterred by complicated recipes.
"Something even as simple as eggs and salad."
"If you're comfortable to boil an egg or frying an egg, adding that to some wholegrain toast with salad, that's a really great meal." – Ms Connor told 3AW.
