Patrick Swayze hits back
US actor Patrick Swayze has hit back at reports he is on the verge of death.
Swayze, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, has issued a statement aiming to stop talk of his imminent death.
"They're reporting that I'm on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family! ... It's upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I'm fighting."
Swayze also said ‘hope is so precious’ and is angered that the negative, and unconfirmed coverage has been a form of ‘emotional cruelty’.
Swayze stars in the upcoming A&E series The Beast and is famous for his roles in Dirt Dancing and Point Break, among many others.
