Phillip Brady 3AW
Phillip Brady went straight from Xavier College to Channel Nine in 1958. He spent 13 Years at the station working on In Melbourne Tonight - appearing in commercials and comedy sketches with Graham Kennedy as well as compering the show.
Phillip has been involved with numerous Quiz shows like The Money Makers, Concentration, Casino Ten and Password.
What was your first job?
As a schoolboy I worked during the holidays at Walkers Stores, Glenferrie. I was in the Manchester department selling sheets, pillow slips and towels. BORING!
What is your favourite on air moment thus far?
48 Years of Television appearances with Graham Kennedy, Bert Newton, Mike Walsh, Paul Hogan, Don Lane etc.
What is your most embarrassing on air moment?
Reading 3AW News, I was handed a newsflash that said "Forty-five firemen fought the ferocious fire feverishly". You try it!
If you could interview anyone (living or dead) who would it be?
Actor Jack Nicholson. He epitomises "cool" and is nobody's fool.
