In a confusing and exciting twist to exercise, researchers have developed a new system to reward you for working up a sweat.

A 3D printer is connected to a heart monitor that measures physical exertion, and prints out treats based on the workout.

"So if you were really active you would get a message like 'well done mate' with a smiley face," Mr Khot said.

"But if you weren't that active it would print a frowney face or a message like 'never mind you can do it tomorrow'."

But the most exciting part is all the messages are written in delicious chocolate!
