  • His backyard his right.
Cats shouldn't be allowed to roam anywhere they choose.
One cat pissed on my flywire door at night because I own a small dog who was inside where he should be. Plus they get all the dogs barking. Keep them inside or put them in the ground.

    • If I control your cat as required by law I have nothing to fear.

      • I'd like to have a chat to this person. I need some advice on what cat traps are the best and if I can purchase one without having to travel all the way to Bendigo.

        • Shame on all you cat haters who openly endorse this disgusting and illegal behaviour. If some sicko killed your pet because it wandered I'm sure you would be the first to whinge and carry on.

            • This is a distressing story, especially for those whose cats have wandered and are missing, obviously. What is more distressing though, is the lack of community outrage when it comes to child abuse. If only as much outrage, noise & concern was shown for these innocent children, as well as the animals. It is something that has always puzzled me with mankind.

              • The person who posted this notice is an idiot and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. He / her is well within his or her right to trap the cats however they must be delivered or picked up once trapped by the local council or council pound provider.
Cat owners need to be responsible. It is illegal for your cat to trespass and if you are a responsible owner you would keep your cat confined. Cats that roam are subjected to being cruelly treated as demonstrated by this notice, are at risk of cat aids, are at risk of being run over and kill our native wildlife that has evolved over millions of years without cats. Please be responsible, if you love your cat you will keep it contained.

                  • I agree with him as the other animal species have got the right to live happily in his backyard and not get killed by stray cats.

                    • I thought cat traps were illegal...Although I understand this persons dislikes of animals, I do not believe he is only doing thi to prevent cats from killing wildlife coming into his garden..I believe he likes killing cats/animals and wonder when he will move up to the next level and start harming humans..The fact that he will not put his name and address on his letter shows just what a coward he is..The authorities need to look very closely at this person...
