  • Nine tenths of people were against mandatory pre-commitment and Julia listened to the public. Tony Abbott changed his mind on a carbon tax and deep seam mining. What's the difference??

        • @Steve, Dan and David T. Are you in favour of mandatory pre-commitment on poker machines? If not why are you complaining??

          • Mylene @ 10.28: Take a look at the headline on this column, then read the posts again. That may give you an idea as to what we are complaining about.

            • Mylene, the difference is that Gillard is the "Prime Minister" and has a proven record of incompetence and unethical behaviour. She leads a party which is only in power due to "deals" with, and promises made to, the independents and a minor special interest party. If she was so interested in listening to the public, she would call an election now. Gillard is in a position to live up to her promises, and has not. Therefore she has lost the public's trust. Abbott may have changed policies, but is not in the position to implement them.

              • it was never going to get past in the senate and has Wilkie ever had a bet in his life - the most stupid idea ever not thought through.

                  • @David T. You're complaining about her doing something you agree with? Would you rather she kept her word to Wilkie and your football club went into liquidation?? This is a win/win situation. Out of the entire population of Australia only one person has a right to whinge about it ... and it's not you.

                    • Next time any of the presenters at 3AW interview Julia Gillard, make sure you introduce her to the audience as "the dishonorable Prime Minister". Their is no honor in lying to the Australian people.
