Don Lane has passed away

  • Sad day. Don was the host of a very entertaining show and will be miseed. My dad passed away after a 10+ year battle with Alzheimers when I was 24. Several years before that he no longer recognised me. It's a disease that has a terrible impact on a family. Hopefully this will help raise awareness.

              • A great entertainer and a very underrated talent.

An integral staple of my teenage years and early 20s. "The Don Lane Show" was essential viewing in our household. It was truly a cultural icon. In 25 years, nobody else has been able to produce a variety show with the consistency, durability and longevity of "The Don Lane Show".

RIP Don. You will forever be remembered by all Australians over the age of 30. You have made a tremendous contribution to this country and will leave a lasting and enduring legacy.
