  • I feel for Matthew and I hope with his continued help he improves over time.
I felt that he would not take or accept the responsibility of beating those two women. I felt he brushed that off with, oh its my disease.. I feel long term this will repeat again, the abusive behaviour and he will be in trouble if his foe is bigger than him....

    • How does any of the viewing public know what he said? Editing is used by media to target their audience cognitive bias. Any media story has more to do with the viewer centre of gravity is than truth. Are we that naive as a culture?

      • Why is this guy getting so much attention? I saw him in a crappy vampire movie about 10 years ago and very little since. He's getting more attention these days for allegedly beating up women than for being a very average actor. I'm pretty sure if he wasn't Bert Newton's son he wouldn't be getting the same attention. Then again it could just be a ploy to gain media attention due to a failing career, which has been known to happen?

        • I think that there needs to be more education on mental illness and more understanding on what this person is going through. Nobody wants to be labeled with a mental illness.
I feel Mathew has a long way to go in understanding and dealing with this illness and it would not have been easy for him to put himself out there. I wish him all the best on his journey.

            • I have bipolar disorder and I don't assault people. The outcome of this interview will be that people think those with bipolar are violent sand this is not always the case.
I am with Patty on this one - why did he do the interview when he is still so vulnerable?

                  • Matthew abuse is not part of mental disorder. You will always be known for the horrid abuse you dealt out at women you supposibly loved..Yeah sure. Both Rachel and Brooke can hold their heads up high, you not so. Continue with your help Matthew because you are not safe to be around.
