Tony Abbott's budget reply

How will Rudd's 'tantrum' serve him?

Rudd angry The Opposition has seized on an outburst by the Prime Minister during a television interview last night accusing Kevin Rudd of "losing it". Is this a sign of his downfall or are you happy to see the PM show a bit of ticker?

  • Kevin Rudd has done more back flips than an olympic gymnast in the last six months. He is a bully who diverts attention away from blunders by announcing a new big agenda, and promises much but is yet to deliver. Having said that I wish Tony Abbot would show some passion and stick it to Kevin.

    • Rudd showed some ticker, and good on him for so doing. Being disciplined (as he plainly is), and being a conviction politician, are not mutually exclusive.

      • Is Abbott more or less of a wimp than Alexander Downer?

If he cries about a corroboree in Cape York he hasn't yet been to with Noel Pearson... it's all over.

        • Fantastic work Neil. It's about time someone pointed how much of a lightweight Abbott really is. His tax is horrifically worse than the RSPT and it's about time someone pointed that out.

          • The performance by Abbott with Neil Mitchell just shows what a wimp he really is. The media itself created "tough Tony" by continuing to refer to him as a pugilist simply because, like many thousands of young men, he dabbled in amateur boxing when he was young. That does NOT make him, or us, tough. The media confuses verbal nastiness with toughness. The men who fought with the SAS in Vietnam and Afghanistan are tough. The soldiers of the Royal Australian Regiment are tough. Tony Abbott is just a verbal bully who comes undone every time he is confronted by articulate argument.

            • Tony Abbott's interview with Neil this morning was fantastic! Not for Abbott of course, but it showed how ill-informed he is on everything and doesnt even bother to look at the governments budget in detail?
He lacks leadership skills and does not hold any qualities that would make him suitable to even be an alternative leader, let alone PM!

                    • Hi Neil

Good on you Neil, excellent, wonderful, it's about time Tony Abbott was put to the test. The MSM has let Tony Abbott run around the country in his red underpants, saying whatever he likes with no evidence to back up his wild statements.

The names Abbott has called Kevin Rudd are rude, disrespectfull, and downright filthy gutter talk.

The MSM needs to lift it's game and start doing some fair dinkum reporting, instead of reporting on each others report and this continued awe, & promotion of Abbott is simply sickening
