The push for the state government to repair ‘important’ heritage-listed building in Melbourne

President of the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, David Wagner, has called on the state government to repair the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne.
Cuts to government funding has left the heritage-listed building million of dollars short of the money needed to restore the “fundamentally important part of Melbourne” according to Mr Wagner.
“We need to look after our heritage now, we can’t worry about it in 20 years time because it will be too poorly damaged,” Mr Wagner told Ross and Russ.
