Matthew Lloyd has reacted to the news that John Longmire is joining Essendon as General Manager of AFL Performance.

The club great was ecstatic when Shane McInnes broke the news to him live on 3AW Drive.

“What an appointment, how good is that? I’m really, really excited,” Lloyd said.
