Woman and two young children killed in Cranbourne West car fire

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, and two girls aged under six were killed in a car fire on a dirt road off the Western Port Highway on Thursday night.

A passer-by first raised the alarm at about 7.40pm.

Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle fully involved by fire.

Wen they brought the blaze under control 15 minutes later, they made a horrific discovery — there were three bodies inside the burnt-out shell of the car.

The trio have not yet been formally identified.

Arson detectives have confirmed they’re not looking for anyone in relation to the incident.
