1 dead, dozens injured in Las Vegas

One person has died and 37 others are injured after a car careered into pedestrians along the Las Vegas strip in the US.

The driver, a woman, is now in custody. 

She mounted a curb and dragged some pedestrians several metres.

Seven of those injured are considered to be in critical conditions.

Authorities say they are unsure if the incident was deliberate.
