$10k worth of hair products stolen in South Melbourne robbery

About $10,000 worth of hair and beauty products have been stolen from a salon in Melbourne’s south overnight.

The Zucci Salon on Clarendon Street, South Melbourne was robbed in the early hours of this morning.

Shakira Petrucci, whose family owns the store, told Shane McInnes the products taken are a particularly expensive brand.

“It seems like quite a targeted robbery, it was all of our Aveda products which is an American hairdressing brand,” Shakira said.

“It’s quite a high-end product range, there’s definitely a market online for these products (to be resold).

“Pretty horrible way to start the new year.”
