12-year-old boy charged over Preston assault

A 12 year old boy has been charged over an assault at Preston on Saturday night.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non life threatening head and facial injuries.

Police say the 12-year-old later handed himself in.

He’s been bailed to face a children’s court on charges including affray and assault.
