2.9 magnitude earthquake hits near Geelong

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake has hit near Geelong on Thursday afternoon.

Multiple listeners to 3AW reported the earthquake, which took place just before 4:30pm.

Seismologist Adam Pascale had the latest.

“In the last few years since the big (earthquake) we had in 2021, we’ve seen a lot more activity in the state,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
