24 charged over Moomba riots

Two dozen people have been charged over last month’s CBD riots.

Victoria Police established Taskforce Ares to investigate the chaos in the city over the Moomba festival.

Police revealed on Monday that 24 people had been charged with affray, riotous behaviour and one also charged with two counts of theft.

Those charged so far range from 14?40 years old.

Police said they were continuing their investigation.
