A shocking stat has revealed that homes in suburbs without a 24-hour police station have an increased risk of a home invasion.
Retired Victoria Police detective Charlie Bezzina has told Ross and Russ that an open police station won’t impact the crime rate.
“What’s going to change is putting police out in the street,” he said.

“My only criticism is seeing these police, they’re patrolling up and down the street in groups of five or eight … Two of you go here and you cover a bigger area. It’s just basic policing,” he added.
