Police have arrested five teens after an aggravated burglary overnight — and Mark Allen, who is filling in on 3AW Breakfast this week, witnessed part of the police chase!

Police were called to Moule Avenue in Brighton at around 12.20 am following reports of an aggravated burglary.

A 2015 Mercedes Tourer was stolen.

Police followed the car through various areas including Nepean Highway, St Kilda Road, Southbank, the Monash Freeway and the Bolte Bridge, detecting it travelling at up to 170km/h.

The vehicle was dumped at Yarraville Gardens and five people were seen running from the car.

Two youths were arrested after being found on the roof of a home, another two were arrested hiding in a backyard shed and a fifth was arrested in a backyard.

Four males and one female, ranging from 15 to 17, are all assisting police with their enquiries.
