3AW caller details daylight car theft in Melbourne’s east

A woman has detailed the moment she came across an offender stealing a car at a building site in Doncaster today.

Arita told Jacqui Felgate the victim tried to give chase but couldn’t keep up with the alleged offender.

“He’s very shaken up, and his laptop and I think a few personal belongings were in the car, and it’s just heartbreaking,” she said.
