Sometimes, the little things can make all the difference.

3AW Drive received a devastating phone call on Monday from John Parker direct from his hospital bed.

The 79-year-old, who is gravely ill with asbestosis, made a plea for help after the caravan he’d been living in was stolen by callous thieves at Laverton North on Saturday.

On Tuesday, the 3AW community responded.

Tom Elliott was flooded with calls from those offering to help John ? who sadly revealed he was unlikely to leave hospital again.

But the support brightened his day.

‘Thank you very much for doing this,’ Mr Parker said.

‘Thank you to all the decent people.’

He still desperately wants his van, which contains all his prized possessions, returned.
