3AW Drive listener issues warning to people selling items through social media

A 3AW Drive listener has issued a warning about selling items online to people you don’t know, telling Tom Elliott his brother was stabbed three times after arranging to sell his laptop through social media.

The profile of the person he’d arranged to sell the computer to turned out to be fake.

“Just be careful,” Alex told Tom Elliott.

Police have since confirmed they’re investigating after a 28-year-old male was stabbed in the lower body during an attempted armed robbery at St Albans on November 6.
