3AW presents Australian Guineas Day at Flemington racecourse
Melbourne turned on an absolute pearler for Australian Guineas day and boy, did we have fun!
3AW was trackside at Flemington for what turned out to be a truly fantastic day of racing.
Tony McEvoy trained gelding Hey Doc took out the Group 1 Australian Guineas, holding out Derby winner Prized Icon and Snitzson at the finish.
There was a boilover in the 3AW is Football Stakes, with first-starter Ploverset nailing well-fancied stablemate Madeenaty on the line.
Big Memory broke through for his first victory in more than two years in the 3AW Roy Higgins Quality over 2600 metres.
Ross Stevenson, Tom Elliott, Denis Walter, Darren James and Grubby and Dee Dee were among the 3AW favourites trackside to soak in the action!
Thanks to all who came along!
