4WD smashes into cars in Canterbury, driver flees on foot

A manhunt is underway following a car crash in Melbourne’s east this morning.

Residents in Warburton Road Canterbury are waking up this morning to discover their vehicles, parked on the street have been damaged.

Police say a four wheel drive smashed into the vehicles around 5.20am this morning.

The driver and an unknown number of passengers fled on foot.

The police canine unit has been deployed as the search for the offenders continues.
