5000 Poppies Project goes to London

Award-winning Australian landscaper Phillip Johnson joined the Big Backyard all the way from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Saturday. 

‘It’s just been the most incredible week of my life,’ he said. 

He has unveiled an installation at the show in honour of all servicemen and women of the last 100 years – it is a display of over 300 000 hand-made, crocheted poppies.  

The display is a collaboration between him, Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight from the 5000 Poppies Project.
