The deer population is Victoria is out of control, despite a record number being shot and killed last year.

More than 71,000 (yes, 71,000) were culled – a jump of 14 per cent on the previous year.

The threat by deer to the environment and agriculture is increasing, with one apple grower claiming he’s out of pocket by up to $1 million.

Ross and John tried to find out more on Thursday.

They spoke with Barry Howlett, from the Australian Deer Association.
