71,000 deer culled in Victoria last year
The deer population is Victoria is out of control, despite a record number being shot and killed last year.
More than 71,000 (yes, 71,000) were culled – a jump of 14 per cent on the previous year.
The threat by deer to the environment and agriculture is increasing, with one apple grower claiming he’s out of pocket by up to $1 million.
