A parent claims his son has been denied attendance at his final ever day at school, despite being cleared by the health department to do so.

Danny rang Neil Mitchell on Friday to explain the situation.

He said his son, in Year 12, had been in isolation with the rest of the family over the past fortnight after one of his siblings tested positive to COVID-19.

The boy never tested positive himself, but remained in isolation for 14 days as required.

He tested negative, again, on Friday morning as he came out of isolation.

But the school told him he could not attend.

“They’ve made the decision that it’s ‘not safe’ for him to go,” Danny explained.
