A regional café will shut its doors on Friday and the owner says it won’t re-open until Victoria is “pro choice” about COVID-19 vaccination.

Rebekah, owner of Brightbird Espresso at Warrnambool, said she didn’t feel comfortable checking the vaccination status of customers, or employees.

“It doesn’t sit right with us,” she told Neil Mitchell.

“We’d rather keep our integrity intact and be able to sleep at night knowing we’ve done the right thing by everybody, than do something that feels wrong.”
