The Prime Minister has visited Wye River after the devastating Christmas bushfires.

Local resident and CFA volunteer Tony Maly said he felt ‘reassured’ after the visit.

‘He’s contacted the insurance company and told them to get moving on it and make sure we’re not hard done by,’ Mr Maly said.

Mr Maly said it’s been tough for the small community, but they’re pulling together.
