Alarming new research has found one in four tradies don’t wear sunscreen and more than half know somebody who’s had skin cancer.

It’s prompted the Cancer Council to launch a new campaign.

Dr Tanya Buchanan told Neil Mitchell the sun smart message needed to get through.

“It’s just as important as the other safety things they do on site,” he said.
