The Yarra river is a long way from being a legitimate source of transport.

That’s the assessment after an experiment on the Neil Mitchell program this morning.

Neil wondered if river transport could be a solution to Melbourne’s increasing traffic congestion while watching punters arrive at the races via water yesterday.

He sent his producer, Michael Hilder, along to test it out.
