Treasurer Tim Pallas has staunchly defended the Andrews Government’s reputation in a tense stoush with Neil Mitchell.

Neil Mitchell asserted Victorians were conned before the election about how much it would cost to scrap the East-West Link.

TIM PALLAS: Neil, I don’t know in what universe it’s appropriate to try to subvert the will of the people through an election process, but we promised we would not proceed with this project.

NEIL MITCHELL: True, but you promised the contract was not worth paper it was written on.
