Owners of used electric cars are being offered “crazy” prices for them, in some cases as much as they bought it for in the first place.

Richard Dudley, CEO of the Motor Trades Association of Australia, told 3AW Breakfast on Friday it was a simple case of supply not being able to meet the increasing demand.

“And the interest is starting to grow,” he said.
